Imphal, November 18 2008: Clarifying that it has nothing to do with the brutal killing of Konsam Rishikanta Singh, a Junior Sub-Editor of the Imphal Free Press, chief project officer-cum-secretary of information & public relations department of the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) Ibungo Ngangom reminded that unnatural death rate of the indigenous population is on the upward trajectory as a result of extra-judicial and merciless killings being done in the name of counter-insurgency operations.

"The party is of the opinion that there can be no justification at all for killing an indigenous person whatever his/her guilt in the present state of affairs of the land wherein a large number of foreign migrants are being intentionally driven into our tiny land by the Government of India to marginalise the number of local population vis-a-vis foreign influx," contended Ibungo.
