Imphal, February 15 2009: To protest the bomb attack at the residence of Sagolshem Ibochouba Singh at Wangoi Thounaojam Leikai yesterday a sit-in was organised today at the spot by local people.

The sit-in was held under the theme "Placing bombs to target the public will not bring freedom" and was organised by People's Protection and Development Committee, Wangoi.

Addressing the gathering, secretary of the Committee W Jiten said that the people of Wangoi have been living under threats, with the security personnel intensifying killings and bombs being planted in their midst.

The public demanded that those responsible for the attack should clarify their position and urged all to stop killing, threatening and using violence against civilians.

If anyone is to be penalised, the wrong doings should be spelt out first, resolved the gathering.
