Imphal, August 12: State Left parties submitted a memorandum to Prime Minister urging to take appropriate action for the right punishment of the concerned sports authorities involved in the exclusion of L Monika from the Beijing squad.

Forwarding the memorandum, CPI leader AB Bardhan also urged the PM to punish severely who conspired, the case.

He also demanded to be made SAI to apologize to Monika, people of Manipur and the North Eastern States; The teaching and non-teaching staff and students of DM College of Science in a joint meeting also strongly condemned the exclusion of weightlifter L Monika from the Beijing squad.

Terming the conspiracy as a dirty politics, the meeting also demanded to give befit ting - punishments to the authorities involved, Meanwhile, Shillong Manipuri Students Union, 'United Muslims Council, All Manipur College Teachers Association, Integrated Rural Development Agency, UMM-M Thoubal Awang Potsahgbam Women Workers' Association and All Assam Manipuri" Students' Union condemned the exclusion of Monika from the Beijing squad.
