Imphal, January 07 2010: In protest against the last night's bomb attack at the residence of Opposition leader of Manipur Legislative Assembly Radhabinod Koijam, people of the locality today staged a Wakat Meepham by blocking one side of the road near Thangmeiband DM College, western gate today.

In the attack, a personnel of Manipur Rifles who was on sentry duty sustained injuries.

Placards inscribed with slogans like 'Bombs can never bring peace', 'Lets give up the habit of hurling bombs and firing guns to save Manipur', 'Bomb attacks in public places is not an act of patriotism but cowardice', etc were seen at the protest site.

Talking to mediapersons, a woman protestor said that the bomb attack at the private residence of MLA Radhabinod that left one person injured was condemnable in the strongest term.

She also demanded the attackers to come out with a clarification at the earliest possible.
