Imphal, July 31: Reacting to remarks of the SP Th Radheshyam, publicity secretary of the armed KRA (U) Lenin CH has reiterated that Keisham Bishworjit is an innocent civilian and not related to the group in any manner.

Pointing out that Maj Apao's wife Abem is naive with regard to policy matter of the KRA (U) and her comments was expected as from an innocent civilian, the publicity secretary advised that the SP has nothing to gain by insisting on branding Bishworjit as KRA (U) cadre.

He also maintained that from where the slain Maj Apao of the KRA(U) hijacked Bishworjit's vehicle would only be known to the deceased.

Moreover, the poser from the SP to the KRA (U) regarding whereabouts of the four other accomplices of Maj Apao, Lenin CH suggested that such questions need not be answered as holding back important information or maintenance of secrecy from security forces is an inevitable component of the KRA (U) in sustaining its movement.

Maj Apao displayed exemplary courage and leadership principle by saving four of the cadres unlike the mindset of officials of uniformed establishment where sacrifice of lower ranked personnel to save skin of the higher-ups is commanded by the officers, Lenin maintained.

Referring to a case of police personnel being suspended for disloyalty/unfaithful to their service when these personnel were deployed for security of the Chief Minister, Lenin pointed out that KRA (U) would never stoop to such low.

Reiterating its assertion that Bishworjit was an innocent civilian, he also stuck to the KRA (U)'s contention of Rs 5 lakh being looted after the slaying of Maj Apao and Bishworjit.
