Imphal, January 30 2009: Tollen Village Authority and Tollen Youth Club have strongly condemned the indiscriminate firing by armed persons at a crowd during the festive celebration of the XIII general conference of Tollen Youth Club thereby killing Lhainunmoi (Moite) Khongsai and critically injuring Thangkhosei (20), Lienlal Khongsai and Baby Boithem (3) on the night of January 28 .

Denouncing any form of violence, the village authority and the youth club, in a joint statement, have also asked the Govt to take strong action against the perpetrators of such crimes.

The joint statement has also called upon all the right thinking individuals and organisations to come out and raise their voice against such act of barbarism and help in promotion of peace and tranquillity in the land.
