Imphal, December 24: The identity of one of the UG suspects reportedly killed yesterday by Imphal East District Police Commandos during an alleged encounter at Kongpal Laingam Loukon under Porompat Police Station has been established today as Ningthoujam Romajit Meitei (32) s/o Tomba of Kongpal Chanam Leikai.

The post-mortem examination of the body was conducted at the mortuary of RIMS today before it was handed it over to his family members.

Police have not yet been able to identity the other UG suspect who was also shot dead by the Commando team in the same incident yesterday.

According to police, the slain youth has lean body structure with fair completion and found clad in a blue colour jacket with a black T-shirt underneath and a grey colour trousers.
