Four including student from Ukhrul killed

Dimapur, May 05: Reports of unceasing killings have been taking centre-stage in Dimapur with more killings reported today.

Four persons including a college student from Ukhrul district of Manipur have been shot dead in Dimapur since last night.

After gunmen shot dead NSCN-IM "Lieutenant" A Pouken Zeliang on Sunday night at Burma Camp area in Dimapur, a Patkai College student, an NSCN-IM captain and a man have been shot dead in Dimapur today.

The 'Lt' A Pouken Zeliang and his friend were travelling in a Maruti car on Sunday night when gunmen attacked them killing the NSCN-IM officer while the other man was critically injured.

On Monday, according to Dimapur police one Suriyo Khamrang, son of Chinaongai of Phatang village, Ukhrul, was shot dead at the spot while another, a former member of NSCN (I-M), identified as Ayo was seriously injured by indentified gunmen in Dimapur on Monday.

Dimapur police said that Ayo has been admitted at Zion Hospital and he is reported to be in critical condition.

Moments later in a separate incident, one Mayoyang, also from Ukhrul district of Manipur was shot dead at Dimapur's Ghorapattty area on Monday.

Reports said that Mayoyang had come to Dimapur for admission at Patkai College in Dimapur.

Mayoyang who was studying at Class-XI and Ayo were brothers and they were presently staying together at Kher Mahal area in Dimapur.

They were the sons of Shemiriphang from Phatang village, Ukhrul, Manipur.

According to Dimapur police, Suriyo, Ayo and Mayoyang were kidnapped by some elements at around 9.30 am on Monday.

In the last incident, NSCN-IM Capt.

Vitoshe, Chaplain of Hevito was shot dead by NSCN-Unification in Burma Camp, Dimapur.
