Imphal, June 30: Expressing appreciation and extending moral support to the 'historic' initiation of Chiang Mai Conclave in Thailand by the Forum for Naga Reconciliation, the United People's Democratic Party-Socialist (UPDS-S) optimistically said on Monday that the pledge will be materialized in the true principle of Christianity to dispel the dark side and cater the divine side.

UPDP (S) general secretary (Co-ord) Romeo Bengdon while throwing some lights in the past fratricidal killings, said that "we all need to view the term homicide, genocide and war-crime as the basic philosophical terms to ensure time to time conduct as approved by the United Nations Organisation." UPDP-S said that it is of the holiest venture-endured by The Quakers from the American Baptist Churches, British and Canada Churches and other 43 participants including some tribal hohos that led to the pledging in a symbolic Christian manner by holding a Crucifix jointly by NSCN-1M top leaders VS Atem and NSCN (U) Deputy Kilonser Wangtfn Naga and added that reconciliation being "the ideal wisdom of source to amicable solution", must be disseminated to every brethren to harbour more lively to the International status achieved by the unique Nagas.

The UPDP-S opined that the existing Indo-Naga ceasefire and Suspension of Operation between the Government of India and some tribal outfits had minimized the killing spree, provided the ground rules are abided.

It added that the ceasefire and the Suspension of Operation are really a psychiatric medicine for the general public that had panicked them.

Further, it appealed that gunfights must be shun by any gun holder since it costs lives and suggested that a parley must be upheld to reconcile as it costs only diplomatic wisdoms but save lives.

It went on to say that this must be advocated by the responsible Government and Parties concerned so as to cease the bloods shed by terror.
