Imphal, April 27 2009: A team of police commandos who reportedly arrived to arrest a person alleged opened fire at a house in Sagolband Moirang Hanuba Leirak in the afternoon today.

According to information received by the press, the commandos, who could not be ascertained to which district they belonged to, opened fire three rounds at the house of Mathurabashimayum Rameshore Sharma.

No one was injured in the incident.

The commandos came looking for a 30 year old son of Rameshore identified as Momocha.

When the commandos asked for Momocha, Rameshore replied that his son was not at home.

To this the commandos started opening fire.

It is said that Momocha had been jailed earlier for his alleged link with PREPAK.

But after coming out from jail, he has retired from the outfit and staying at home.
