Imphal, June 13: A man was found shot dead by unidentified gunmen at Chingmeirong Nepali Basti at around 3.55 pm yesterday.

The identity of the victim, who appears to be a hill man, has not yet been established.

Besides, fatal bullet marks on his head and back, there were also signs of thrashing all over his body.

One mobile handset has been reportedly recovered from the possession of the slain person.

Police have picked up the body and kept it at RIMS morgue for identification and post-mortem examination.
