Imphal, July 10: The proscribed United National Liberation Front has alleged that its former MPA cadre Pukhrambam Kishan alias Semdokpa s/o Pukhrambam Modhu was eliminated by the security forces due to instigation by certain individuals of Heirok village.

A statement issued by the outfit's self styled senior publicity officer Ksh Yoiheiba said Kishan's relationship with the UNLF had been severed after the individual (MPA No.01798) decided to leave (retire) the organisation about two years back.

Even though Kishan's origin is Kakching Khongai Leikai, he married a woman from Heirok and used to live at his wife's maternal home as their 'second home, said Yoiheiba while alleging that certain individuals of Heirok colluded with the commando personnel to slay Kishan as it was their agenda to prohibit people not from Heirok gain access, entry and reside at Heirok.

Kishan was slain by a combined team of police commandos and personnel of 34 Assam Rifles on July 6 night at Tekcham Chingmang, recounted the UNLF statement while questioning inaction/silence by people of Heirok against certain elements who had plotted Kishan's death.
