Imphal, January 09: The Senapati Public Vigil on behalf of the general public expressed gratitude to the underground NSCN (IM) and UNLF for arresting culprits involved in the killing of Van driver in Maram area as well as the main accused in the kidnapping and murder of Lungnila Elizabeth.

Taking serious note of failure of State security force to arrest the child murder master-mind James Kuki allowing the latter to flee from the State, the Senapati organization expressed deep suspicion of whether a conspiracy exist behind the failure and appealed to all concerned to cooperate in elimination of evil forces from the society.

Meanwhile, the Moirang Hanuba Nupi Chaokhat Khongthang Lamjing Marup hailing organization concerned for revealing the real culprit behind the murder of Lungnila Elizabeth strongly condemned the State authorities for unnecessarily smearing the image of the Moirang hanuba areas by picking up suspects and subsequently framing them under flimsy charges.

Stating that all the guilty person/s should be punished for their gruesome crime, the women organization also pledged its unwavering support to expose all the accused.

Hailing underground organization, UNLF for its effort in arresting N Rome alias Michael, one of the murderers of Baby Lungnila Elizabeth and establishing the identities of the other murderers, Paona Bazar Women's Welfare Organization hoped that UNLF would also track down the remaining culprits and handed over them to the authorities concerned.

The organization, however, deep regretted the mob fury at AMSU office on the night Rome was captured.

On the other hand, various voluntary organizations and meira paibis of Phayeng areas, in joint statement, as clarified that N Rome was not picked up from Phayeng as had been reportedly in certain section of the State dailies.

Release appeal: Poirei Apunba Leimarol Meirapaibi (Palem) has demanded unconditional and immediate release of volunteers of MAFYF who have been kept in police custody in connection with their agitation for punishing the murderers of Baby Lungnila Elizabeth, since the real culprits have been known now.

Palem also appealed to MAFYF to call off its agitation.
