Imphal, September 05: The banned KCP has claimed responsibility for firing at the residences of Tayenjam Holen Singh of Uripok Khaidem Leikai in the intervening night of September 2 and 3, and at the Singjamei Maibam Leikai Bokul Makhong house of Leiphakpam Chaoba Singh s/o L Ibomcha Singh on September 4 .

Highlighting that the attacks were launched by cadres of the Valley Operation Commander under the command of Lamphel and Kokai, a KCP release issued by one Leishemba Luwang insisted that apart from Holen and Ibomcha ignoring intimations of the armed organisation both had been challenging the KCP.

Contending that taking into account possible hardships that could have befallen upon the families of the two the attackers refrain from directly targeting the individuals, Leishemba said in case Ibomcha and Holen continues to defy directives of the KCP there would be no leniency in the future.
