Imphal, December 31: Deputy commander of KCP (MTF) Capt Kesho has informed that an ex-cadre of the outfit identified as Santosh Sharma of Tentha Khabam, has been awarded capital punishment at an adjoining place of Mayang Imphal-Uchiwa at around 8.10 pm today for allegedly swindling party fund.

Capt Kesho informed that in 2006, Santosh was punished for his involvement in swindling Rs 6 lakhs from the party fund.

However, he was forgiven after he confessed to the crime and promised not to indulge in such activities in future.

Inspite of that, Santosh again swindled Rs 31,80,000 and remained absconding.

He pulled up from Keishampat area today, Capt Kesho said, while asking all the accomplices of Santosh to surrender along with the amount in their respective possessions.

Otherwise, they would also meet the same fate like Santosh, Capt Kesho warned.
