BJP poll campaign to focus on SPF government's non performance

Imphal, March 28: Welcoming gram Panchayat members from Bishnupur district into Bharatiya Janata Party, party president and inner parliamentary seat candidate Thounaojam Chaoba asserted that their arrival was a definite indicator that the party will grab a significant share of the votes from the district.

The latest to pledge their support to Th Chaoba by joining the BJP were six members ofthe Ngangkha Lawai Gram Panchayat led by Up-Pradhan K Ibecha and another five members of Kha Thinungai led by Up-Pradhan Ningthoujam Raghumani.

Replying to queries on the main Issues which the BJP will take up during the coming election, Chaoba stated that his party-will target the SPF government for its pathetic performance while highlighting the accomplishment of the NDA government at the centre.

The corruption and non performance of the state government under chief minister O Ibobi will be exposed during the hustling, he stated.

On the other hand, the achievement of the BJP led Union government, particularly the projects undertaker for development of the north-eastern states and other schemes aimed at alleviating the living standards of tribal and under privilege community will be given adequate focus, he added.

House to house campaign which has proved to be more effective and practiced has already commenced, through his active workers, he announced Chaoba informed that a crucial meeting will be staged at Sangakpham bazar on April 6 coinciding with the foundation anniversary of the BJP.

The major attraction there will be Gegong Apang, Arunachal Pradesh chief minister who will be arriving to campaign for the party in the state.

Other star campaigners who will be assigned to the state to draw support for the party have not been sorted our, Chaoba stated.

He added that a ten point manifesto pertaining to the state will be released soon.
