Permanent peace possible if centre sincere: Holkhomang

Imphal, March 27: All the problems in the state can be solved.

The centre is not sincere enough in its efforts to solve the problems of the state.

If it, really wants to solve the problems the centre has the resources to do so, the NCP candidate for Outer Manipur Parliamentary constituency who represented the same seat in the last Lok Sabha said.

Haokip was speaking at the book release function of his book, 'My activities in 13th Lok Sabha'.

The book was released at the NCP office at Babupara.

From Nehru's time to the present government wrong decisions are taken by the centre as it is not aware of the situation here in Manipur Holkhomang said.

The Meitei, Naga, Kuki and all other communities belong to the Tibeto-Burman group, even the languages are similar he added.

We all should work to bring permanent peace he added.

The slogan for the election this year will be, live together peacefully.

The golden land of Manipur belongs to the Meitei, Kuki, Naga and Muslims and all others.

The soil of Manipur is extremely good, the agricultural products are also good, Manipur can be such a wonderful state he said.

There are too many groups operating in Manipur and people are coerce to do many things they don't like to do he further said.

He has now gained some experience and knows how to work as a Member of Parliament he said.

He, wanted to stop contesting but the pressure to contest again was intense he added.

The door of his house was wide open and everybody is welcome he said.

N Radhakanta, Executive member said this is a golden chance for Holkhomang to win as the Congress and the CPI are likely to support the NCP candidate for Outer Manipur PC.
