Imphal, March 12, 2010: Implicating the name of the RPF/PLA by Chief Minister O Ibobi, in his statement in the house of the state Assembly on March 9 with regard to the recent incident of rape and murder of widow Chanbi and her teenaged daughter Meneka at Phayeng, Manipur government is trying blame upon revolutionary groups in heinous crimes as part of its long propaganda to detest public, a statement of the proscribed outfit put down.

A statement issued by its publicity chief GM Changjou while refuting the statement of the chief minister said that the outfit is not surprised at all on implicating the outfits name as the puppet Manipur government has been trying its level best to link the RPF/PLA with the brutal rape and murder of the mother and daughter.

It is not new for Manipur government to put blame upon revolutionary groups in some heinous crimes invoking public reactions, the statement said adding that RPF is compelled to made clarification due to chief minister O Ibobi Singhs hidden attempt to link the Phayeng case with the outfit.

Behind the state government attempt to wrongly implicate RPF is presumed to be related to the recent stance of the outfit taken on the non-Manipuri, the statement observed expressing that the effort to link the outfit will yield nothing.

Non-Manipuris who are residing in Manipur are friends of the people of the land, yet they are killed on daily basis.

Despite continue spree of killing, the chief minister and his government or the outfit could not do anything for their safety.

The unhealthy relations between the non-Manipuris and the people of the land could lead the matter to serious one, the statement put down.

With this reason behind, the out told non-Manipuris residing in the state to leave for their safety well on time, the RPF said in the statement alleging that state government is trying to wrongly implicate RPF of creating communal disharmony.

GM Changjou further in his statement said that the mother and daughter murder case is similar to, in the same manner, government is trying to put blame to RPF as its lwa enforcing agencies fail to nab culprits involved in the heinous crime.

The presumption that RPF could be behind the murder of mother-daughter linking with decamped of her eldest son from RPF camp with weapons is unfounded, the statement clarified.

When Chanbis son deserted from the outfit, he did not possess any arms or ammunitions and joined another outfit, the statement revealed asserting that the outfit has the report that Chanbis son had once again deserted the outfit he had joined along with weapons.

The statement also asked whether it could be presumed that the other outfit could have killed Chanbi and her daughter maintaining that the outfit had never harassed any family members of cadres who deserted the outfit with weapons nor collect money in return for the lost weapon.

It also stated that RPF always stood by its stance clear that it never made clarification unrelated to the outfit.

That was why they did not make clarification regarding the rape and murder of Chanbi and Menaka, it went on to clarify.

It is a matter of shame that while Manipur government failing to perform its duties attempted to link the heinous crime to RPF by taking chances of silence kept by the outfit, the statement said adding the outfits activities will not discouraged by any strategy taken up by chief minister like O Ibobi.
