BJP Manipur team meet with Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi on 6th January 2014
The State President Shri Th. Chaoba Singh (former Union Minister) and Shri M. Asnikumar Singh, State General Secretary (Administration & Publicity/Propaganda), Convener of the State Election Campaign Committee have met the Gujarat Chief Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji, who is the Prime Ministerial Candidate of BJP.
Today meeting was held just after Shri Narendra Modi ji arrived from Delhi and the state leaders got appointment of 25 minutes, which was extended till 45 minutes as the leader was interested in the issues of Manipur.
As soon as Shri Narendra Modi ji was greeted by the delegates led by Shri Th Chaoba Singh, the Chief Minister of Gujarat has expressed his warm wishes to the people of Manipur for 2014. The leader will be visiting Imphal on 8th February 2014. It is an important and historic event as the Future Prime Minister of the Country will touch the soil of North East India, first at Imphal, ever since he was announced the BJP Prime Ministerial Candidate.
Various issues related to Manipur were discussed at length. Shri Narendra Modi ji praised the youths and professionals in the field of culture, art and sports and those sportsmen who bring laurels to the Nation in National and International Competition. The leader is very much concerned with the conflict and political issues of the State.
Shri Th. Chaoba Singh narrated the 13 year misrule of the Congress government in the State. People�s suffering from the corrupted government, the price hike, failure of both National Highway which is the only lifeline of the people and the recent territorial disputes along the Indo-Myanmar at Moreh sector of the State.

Shri Narendra Modi ji expressed his concerned over the cultural diversity of the state and is hopeful of conserving the bio-diversity of the state, promoting the agriculture and Horticulture sector, thereby boosting the economy of the State. He also explained about the Vibrant Gujarat model where agriculture plays a significant role in making Gujarat one of the most developed states in the Country. He is optimistic that Manipur can become another Gujarat with so many natural resources and Water bodies to generate power for setting up industries. It may be recalled that Shri Modi ji has been named as the best Chief Minister for the 6th Consecutive time.
Today;s meeting was attended by Ex MLA, Shri Sapam Kunjakeshwore @keba, State Executive Member along with few Ministers of Gujarat. Shri A K. Sharma, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister. The state delegate also met Shri Saurabh Patel, Minister in charge of 10 Departments like Tourism, Planning and Education, who is the key member in Shri Narendra Modi ji Government and discussed at length on developing the state if BJP comes to power.
Shri Modi assures to develop the Educational infrastructures of the State, if BJP comes to power at the Centre, making Manipur a promising state in the Country. For long term perspective, he also wished that the people of Manipur elect 2 BJP MPs in the coming Lok Sabha election and contribute in bringing BJP led Government at the Center as well as State to rebuild India
