Luanda, 25 Sept: 7-years-old Child Climate Activist from Manipur, India Ms. Licypriya Kangujam created the new history in Africa by gathering over 50,000 children and youth in solidarity of her climate change movement for the first time in Angola giving a big alarm to world leaders to take climate actions.

Her tweet of the videos of the biggest protest on climate change in Africa shared more than 1000 times and like by over 8,000 people & views over 1 lakh worldwide in support of her fight against the climate change within 24 hours and still keep counting. Many global celebrities including Swedish Climate Activist Greta Thunberg shared her tweet in her solidarity. Later Greta also shared the pictures in her Facebook (https://twitter.com/licypriyak/status/1175771084819447810?s=21 )

People of Angola says, "We never seen such huge gatherings of people for environment."

Licypriya says to Angola national television TPA during the protest that, "Angola should wake up now. Africa should wake up now. They are the biggest victim of this global climate change. But they are still sleeping."

"When I first campaign here on Friday, only few people came out to do climate strike in Luanda City. But today I get very happy as over 50,000 school students from various schools and organizations turn out voluntarily after hearing the news of my protest of Friday to support my campaign."

Children and youth came from different directions with drums and music to wake up the people to come out in streets in front of the Hotel Diamante, Luanda where Licypriya staying in her maiden visits. 7 Port Roads has been blocked completely for more than 6 hours due to this protest in the capital city of Angola.

In Africa history, no one done big protest or campaign like today so far. Just 7 years old indian school girl did it by traveling all the way from India to Angola for thousands of miles. This proof that age doesn't matter to make a difference. It's a big alarm to wake up world leaders to listen the voices of young people to save their future.

A 21 years old Angolan youth called Mr. Evaristo Quivuio said, "Today in the early morning, few local leaders saw Licypriya cleaning up the sea beach roadside. She picks up huge plastics bottles, beers cans, food plastics used plates, etc. which left after a big party with music last night by over thousands of people. Many Angolan people feel embarrassed and asked her what helps she needs. She replied to help her in her climate campaign in Angola. Social media got viral in Angola of her video in the morning. Therefore, we are gathering here large number of people now to support her."

It can be noted that Angola Government and most of the African countries do not pay any attentions to fight global climate change due to extreme poverty and most are developing nations. Single use plastics are freely used in Angola without any bother and it end up in oceans.

Another eye witnesses says, "Licypriya alone lifted over 40 kilograms of trash from the oceans & sea beach roadside. She also planted over 100 trees in the road median yesterday"

She wrote in her Facebook, "I am really very sad today. Even my senior climate Activist friends, people of Angola & others enjoyed a big party last night with music here and they left hundreds of plastics bottles, beer cans, straws, plastic plates, etc. on this sea beach roadsides. I found today while walking in the early morning."

She also added, "Plastic pollution is one of the biggest problems facing our planet right now. Every day, almost a million metric tonnes of plastic is produced worldwide, the majority of which isn't recycled. Most of it ends up in landfill or the oceans. Plastic takes hundreds of years to decompose, and releases toxins into the environment in the process. We all need to do our bit to use less plastic where possible."

"We are being choked to death by the amount of plastic that we throw away. It's killing our oceans and lakes. It's entering into our bodies in the fish we eat.", says Licypriya Kangujam.

Right now, the effects of climate change are already being felt by people across Africa. Evidence shows that the change in temperature has affected the health, livelihoods, food productivity, water availability, and overall security of the African people.

According to the Climate Change Vulnerability Index for 2015, seven of the ten countries most at risk from climate change are in Africa.

Africa has seen a decrease in rainfall over large parts of the Sahel and Southern Africa, and an increase in parts of Central Africa. Over the past 25 years, the number of weather-related disasters, such as floods and droughts, has doubled, resulting in Africa having a higher mortality rate from droughts than any other region.

Despite the fact that the African continent has contributed the least to anthropogenic factors causing climate change, Africa is the worst hit.

She also met with the Indian Ambassador to Angola Mr. Srikumar Menon and also interacted with the staffs.
