All the arrested 27 members of Joint Committee on Inner Line Permit System (JCILPS), Women Wing, were released from Central Jail, Imphal at around 5:30 pm on 08 August 2014. Earlier during the production of the JCILPS activists in the court, a large number of women attempted to storm the court complex shouting slogans against the authority. Later in the evening, the activists were freed by the authority without imposing any conditions on them and they were received by hundreds of jubilant women outside the Central Jail gate who put garlands around their necks..
