1st GEM of Manipur Award 2013 : felicitate six well known celebrities of Manipur :: 24 June 2013

The 1st GEM of Manipur Award 2013 is organized by the Aruna Academy of Creative Arts, Masjid Road, Paona Bazar, Imphal and Shyamasundari Memorial Foundation, Imphal (Paona Bazar) to felicitate six well known celebrities of Manipur, for their remarkable contribution towards Education, Arts & Economic Development of the State.

The Awardees are namely,
Padmashree Professor E. Nilakanta Singh,
Sahitya Bhushan late Km. T.Thoibi Devi,
Professor R.K Nirmalshashi Devi - Retd. Principal DM Arts & retd. Chairperson, COHSEM,
R.K. Sarojlata Devi - Retd. Principal, State Institute of Technology,
B. Nabachandra Sharma (Nava Volcano) and
Sadananda Hamom.

The Award Ceremony was honored by the presence of the following dignitaries � Shri O.Nabakishore Singh, IAS (Principal Secretary, Directorate of Commerce and Industries, Govt. of Manipur, Shri Dr. M.Nara Singh, Hon�ble Ex-MLA, Manipur Legislative Assembly, Shri Dr. R.K Nimai Singh, IAS, Commissioner, Arts & Culture, Govt. of Manipur and DR. K. Sobita Devi, Director, Art & Culture and MFDC who kindly consented to be Chief Guest, President and Special Guests of Honor respectively.
