Awareness prog on mission Indradhanush

The Directorate of Field Publicity, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India conducted a public awareness programme on Mission Indradhanush and Mother and Child Health at Renkai Government Higher secondary School, Churachandpur today.
Resource person Dr Vanlalkungi, Medical Officer in-charge, Saikot deliberated on the topic, 'Mission Indradhanush and Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn, Child and Adolescent Health (RMNCH+A)'.
She said Mission Indradhanush was launched by the Government with an aim to cover all those children who are unvaccinated or are partially vaccinated against seven vaccine preventable diseases which include diphtheria, whooping cough, tetanus, polio, tuberculosis, measles and Hepatitis B.Dwelling on the subject of RMNCH+A, Dr Vanlalkungi highlighted the various aspects for adolescents and the importance of maintaining proper hygiene and care for their body.
Addressing the gathering, P Sophie from DFP said Mission Indradhanush will ensure that all children under the age of two years and pregnant women are fully immunised with all available vaccines.
A quiz competition was also held as part of the programme.
