Imphal, December 06:
Taking serious note of the protest movements undertaken by some activists of NGOs against the Operation Samtal launched by Army and Assam Rifles, Chief Secretary Jarnail Singh has instructed the State DGP to identify the protesters and to detain them under National Security Act (NSA).
Stating that protest agitation demanding suspension of operations against banned UG groups is unlawful, the Chief Secretary has written to the DGP a few days back to take up necessary legal actions against the protesters.
