Imphal, May 15 2015 :
Influential women organizations EECHAL, AMKIL, Chingmi Tami and Nupu Samaj have accused the Government of India of fomenting communal tension in Manipur on Friday.
At a press meet at AMKIL office here, organisation president Ph Shakhi claimed that the prevailing situation in the state is a handiwork of the Government of India.
She cautioned the people to remain alert over the alleged plan of the Centre to incite communal violence in Manipur by driving a wedge between the communities.
She appealed to all not to whip up communal tension.
Shakhi condemned the recent killing of two labourers by the Kuki Revolutionary Front (KRF) cadres who also severally thrashed a 12-year-old boy.
But she called upon the people not to flare up communal tension over the killings.
