Kakching, December 19 2021: Election Campaign Committee of intending Indian National Congress candidate in Hiyanglam A/C Dr Huidrom Jiten organised a discussion programme on "roles of youth in today's society" at H Keinahal Memorial English School, Langmeidong on Sunday.

Attending as key speaker of the programme, social scientist Dhanabir Laishram said that the upcoming election is crucial as there hasn't been any significant changes in Manipur.

Change will be brought only when the trend of winning election by using money and muscle power could be stopped.

Subsequently, corruption will also be eradicated and qualified electorates will surface, he added.

Stating that the changes could only be brought by youth, Dhanabir informed that 65 per cent of the voters are youth according to Census of India, 2021 .

The dream of a better Manipur lies in the hands of youth in particular, he added.

The discussion programme was also attended by intending candidate Dr Huidrom Jiten and Shumang Leela artiste Geetchandra Chongtham among others.
