Imphal, February 07 2010: To intensify the ongoing agitation, employees of RIMS have decided to suspend OPD services with effect from tomorrow.

According to a statement jointly issued by secretaries of Teachers & Medical Officers Association, RIMS; Association of Junior Doctors, RIMS; Nurses Association, RIMS and Non-Teaching Welfare Association, RIMS, on the second day of the agitation today a combined meeting of the four agitating association was held this afternoon to review the present scenario.

After deliberation, the meeting unanimously decided to intensify the ongoing agitation with suspension of OPD services over and above the suspension of emergency services and teaching programme with effect from 9 am tomorrow.

Further line of action will be reviewed and adopted in tune with the development of the suspension of OPD and emergency services or on February 9, whichever is earlier, the joint statement informed.
