Imphal, May 05 2022: A one-day workshop cum lecture programme on 'Extreme Events and Climate Change' was organised at Lilong Haoreibi College on Thursday by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Lilong Haoreibi College Thoubal district in association with Research Institute of Science & Technology (RIST), Manipur University campus, Imphal.

In a release, Lilong Haoreibi College principal Dr Raheijuddin Sheikh informed that lecturer of Department of Astrophysics of University of Maryland, United States of America (USA) professor A Surjalal Sharma addressed the attendants as resource person and also interacted with the students.

More than 200 students, teaching faculties of the college and some research scholars from Manipur University attended the workshop cum lecture programme, the release added.
