Tamenglong, Jiribam DAs hold Leaders' Day & 'Meeyamgi Numit'

Tamenglong, March 17 2023:
District admin istration of Tamenglong organised District Hill Leaders' Day and 'Meeyamgi Numit' (People's Day) at Mini Secretariat auditorium hall, Tamenglong district headquarters on Friday.
Deputy commissioner Pawan Yadav joined by all district level officers (DLOs) including ADM Thangboi Gangte and SDC MD Abdul Mazeed interacted with the public to ensure that their grievances were addressed adequately.
During the event, 25 government departments set up stalls and delivered services and distributed benefits of various schemes to the people.
In addition to facilitating a vaccination programme, health check-up counters were also setup by the Health Department.
Meanwhile, as per an office memorandum issued by the DC, the district administration also provided real time online grievances redressal facilities via online platform like Zoom, WebEx, etc., to people who have difficulties to be present physically at the designated venue of the programme by contacting three days prior to the every 3rd Friday of a month through WhatsApp number- 8787399350 and email-meeyamginumit.tml@gmail.com .
jiribam: District administration, Jiribam organised the 9th 'Meeyamgi Numit' (People's Day) in respect of Jiribam district at DC Complex, Chingdong Leikai, here on Friday.
Deputy commissioner W Malemnganba Chenglei, additional deputy commission er Jameson Hangshing, sub divisional officer Sagolsem Indrajit Singh and other district level officers of various departments attended the event.
Altogether 22 departments including Education (S), Social Welfare, Fishery, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Agriculture, Sericulture, MSPDCL, PWD, CAF&PD and Veterinary & Animal Husbandry opened their stalls for delivering public services and addressing public grievances during the day.
As a part of the monthly programme, library books, school uniforms (class I-VIII) and science kits for high school and higher secondary schools were distributed to three schools under Samagra Shiksha (State Implementing Society, Manipur) by ZEO Jiribam, while the Social Welfare Department issued 13 Old Age Pension Scheme forms under CMST.
As many as 32 applications of various issues pertaining to schemes of the government, issuance of OBC certificates, Income Certificates, Domicile Certificates and land records etc., were also received for further necessary action.
DC Jiribam heard the grievances of the people one by one and instructed the officials concerned of the related departments to redress the grievances.
Unlike other months, public turnout was comparatively low in the 'Meeyamgi Numit' on Friday due to the on-going road blockade agitation.
