Slain KYKL man identified

Identity of the KYKL cadre, who was found dead deep inside a jungle located 3 kms from Leibung village in Chandel district on June 7 has been ascertained.
Leibung is a neighbouring village of Paraolon village, where 18 personnel were killed in a deadly ambush on June 4 .
Family members identified the deceased at JNIMS morgue as Keisham Rajen (29) s/o K Khamba of Nongren Maning Leikai in Imphal East district.
They said that Rajen left home 10 years back to join KYKL.
Although the body was highly decomposed, family members identified the body through physical appearance.
Rajen bore a bullet injury mark on the back.
Family members said that he had never been arrested ever since he joined KYKL.
A team of Tengnoupal police and forensic experts went to the spot and conducted inquest of the area.
Later, the body was brought to Imphal and deposited at JNIMS morgue late last night.
Post mortem examination will be conducted tomorrow.
