State girl lands in trouble at Singapore

A girl from Sadar Hills, Manipur working as a domestic help at Singapore reportedly landed in trouble recently.
The girl from Molsang near Kholjang in Sadar Hills had gone to Singapore as a domestic help through an agent reportedly from Sadar Hills on June 28 last year.
She was employed as a domestic help in Singapore by one Thakur Prasad Gupta, her family said.
The family further said that the girl was falsely accused of theft while alleging that she was also subjected to physical abuse by the employer and handed over to police.
The girl was staying at 305 Ang Mo Kiosks Avenue 2 in Horizon Garden in Singapore, added the family.
Meanwhile, Lamcha Chongloi, general secretary, Kuki Students' Organization, Sadar Hills said that family members of the girl have reported the incident to the student body and added "we investigated the matter as per the family requests" .
He also said that the girl was employed there through an agent called Ricky Ho.
The student body urged the agent, Ricky Ho to render maximum help and cooperation towards the girl and her family.
