Training programme begins

Imphal, February 28 2019:
A 21 day long Wet Lab Training Programme on "Advances in Plant Biotechnology and Molecular Biology" commenced on February 26 at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region, Manipur Centre, Imphal.
Three course-coordinators Dr MR Sahoo (Senior Scientist), Dr SS Roy (Senior Scientist) and Dr SK Sharma (Scientist) are organizing the said training under the sponsorship of ICAR-National Agricultural Science Fund and Department of Biotechnology, Govt of India, said a statement of Dr Subhra Saikat Roy, Senior Scientist (Horticulture) ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region Manipur Centre.
The training is comprised of three modules namely, Module I – Plant Tissue Culture and Related Techniques, Module II – Plant Biotechnology and Molecular Biology and Module III – Bioactivity Study in Plants.
A total of 28 participants from different institutes like ICAR, CAU, MU, IBSD, PDDUIAS, SAIRAM etc and some participants from other States are participating in the training.
