Large number of students, led by Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad, today, staged a sit-in-protest at Thoubal Wangmataba demanding lifting of the UNC's indefinite economic blockade.
The United Naga Council imposed an indefinite economic blockade along the National Highways from November 1 against the State Government's decision to create new districts.
The economic blockade has hit the people hard, ABVP general secretary Hari Borekar said while blaming the State Government for the blockade.
ABVP has been organising different forms of protests against the UNC's economic blockade, the ABVP general secretary said while appealing to the people to support them in their endeavour.
ABVP volunteer Y Gojen, Ch Sanjay and ABVP Thoubal and Kakching organisation secretary Yash Kumar also participated in the protest.
