Sensitisation programme on 'Poshan Maah' held at Thoubal

Thoubal, September 28 2019: District Administration, Thoubal organised convergent and sensitisation programme on "Poshan Maah, Swachhata Hi Seva, Beti Bachao Beti Padhao" at the Counting hall of DC complex, Thoubal today.

The function was attended by Thoubal ZP Adhyaksha Begum as the chief guest, CMO Thoubal Dr N Jayentakumar Singh as the guest of honour and DC, Thoubal N Bandana Devi as the functional president.

In her speech, the chief guest thanked the district administration for conducting sensitization programme to the people on the benefits of various schemes of the Govt.DC N Bandana appreciated the hard work of all officers and other concerned persons for successfully conducting various programmes and activities in connection with the month long observation of Poshan Maah, Swachhata Hi Seva and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao in the district.

The DC also announced that mothers who gives birth a girl child in the district will be acknowledged with certificate and simple gift.

Chief Medical Officer, Thoubal Dr Jayentakumar also spoke on the occasion while Dr Ksh Memcha Devi, District Family Welfare officer, Thoubal spoke on "Poshan Maah & Swachhata Hi Seva' as resource person.

Others resource persons who spoke at the occasion include N Shyamo Devi, former DPO, Thoubal on 'One Stop Center' and Nonibala Narengbam, Convenor, Childline Advisory Board, Thoubal spoke on 'Childline Thoubal'.

The seven effective steps of handwashing demonstration was also shown by Th Ashalata Devi, Supervisor CDPO office, Thoubal.

L Radhakanta, ADM/Addl DC, Thoubal delivered the keynote address while vote of thanks was given by T Anita Devi, DPO/ICDS Cell, Thoubal.

A large number of ASHAs and Anganwadi workers attended the function.
