M Chinlhing Zou of Zion village in Chandel district was crowned Miss District Level Kut Chandel last night at Khulmi ground, Molnoi area in Chandel district which was organised by the District Level Kut Committee, Chandel.
DK Teshilla Dangswa of Kharou Khunou was the first-runner up while Teagy Nongthombam of Lamlongei was the 2nd runner up.
They were awarded cash awards of Rs 15,000, Rs 10,000 and Rs 7,000 respectively.
Rebecca Haokip of H Wavang village was adjudged fashion queen in the fashion parade held in connection with the Kut celebration.

The evening programme of the district level Kut was graced by the BDO of Khengjoy TD Block, Md.
Nazimuddin Shah and former MP Kim Gangte as the chief guest and special guest respectively.
The Kut organisers have also honoured lyricist Ms Ncy Doungel on the occasion in recognition of her achievement in composing and writing as many as 544 songs and poems.
The award carries Rs 10,000, a traditional shawl and a citation.
Various artistes of the Chin-Kuki-Mizo communities have enthralled the audiences with their songs.
Meanwhile, Kut was also celebrated at Galngam Lentol, Moreh under the aegis of NSEM, a business network group.
The inaugural programme of the Kut celebration was graced by MLA Bijoy Koijam, Deputy Chairman of State Planning Board, ADC of Moreh, Lunminthang Haokip and MLA Sapam Kunjakishore and Col Kaung San Oo, chairman of Tamu district SPDC as the chief guest, president and guests of honour respectively.
The evening programme was graced by Tongkai Haokip, Manipur in-charge of NSEM, Major Kartikes of 31 AR Moreh post, and Tongsei Haokip, Indo-Myanmar in-charge of NSEM as the chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively.
Hoipi Haokip of Moreh ward No 2 was crowned the Miss Kut.
Neikimching Lupheng of NGV, Imphal was declared the 1st runner up while Nengngaithem Lhungdim of Moreh Ward No 8 was adjudged the 2nd runner up.
