Social worker calls for election of sincere and welfare oriented candidate

Imphal, September 12 2021: Social Worker Mongjam Poireihenba has called on people of Lamlai Assembly Constituency, which MLA seat is lying vacant, to elect a welfare oriented personality who would serve the people sincerely.

M Poireihenba, who is intending to contest in the upcoming MLA election from Lamlai Assembly Constituency, made the appeal during a meeting held today at Ibudhou Chingkhei Ningthou Shanglen at Yourabung.

It is very unfortunate for the people that representative of the Assembly segment left the people in the lurch in pursuit of personal interest and benefit, he said while adding that it is high time people give a thought and elect the right candidate to avoid such a situation in the future.

M Poireihenba stated that he has been actively involved in development and welfare activities in the Assembly segment but the pandemic has forced him to stay away from the people briefly.

Expressing that he will be resuming his activities and work towards bringing a change and development in the Assembly segment, he urged the people to support him in undertaking developmental work and be a part of the change.
