Montfort school soon at Muirei

Muirei village, August 21 2011:
Manipur will become the second state in the NE to have a Montfort school in the near future.
Principal Secretary Ram Muivah (PWD and Transport) told reporters today.
The school will be set up in the installation programme of St Anthony's Parish at the panoramic Muirei village, around 25 km east of Imphal on Sunday.
The Bangalore based Montfort society, a religious institution is presently having only one Monfort school in Guwahati.
The Monftortian organization caters to the various educational needs of the children and of the youth in the villages.

Having a population of more than 400 Tangkhuls,the tiny village near Yaingangpokpi woke up on Sunday morning to witness the historic erection and installation of the St Anthony's Parish, a religious centre for the Christian Catholics of the village.
The religious representative Most Rev Dominic Lumon, DD Archbishop of Imphal administered the formal erection and installation of the parish in presence of Rev Father Anthony Pareira, Provincial of the Vice-Province of India, Banglore, MLA Th Shyamkumar of Andro A/C other religious leaders and a large number of villagers.
A village elder said, "It's our long cherished dream come true.
We're grateful to the religious representatives for making it happen" .
