Sapam Robinhood JAC imposes 38 hours bandh, MLA boycotted

The JAC against the brutal killing of Sapam Robinhood alias Thoi has announced a 38-hour Statewide general strike beginning from 5 am tomorrow (July 28) .
Besides, the JAC has also announced an indefinite boycott of Heingang AC MLA, N Biren for allegedly giving false assurance to the JAC that the personnel involved would be placed under suspension.
In a statement, the JAC accused the State Govt of not taking up any measure to deliver justice in connection with the death of Sapam Robinhood.
The JAC has been demanding suspension of police personnel involved in the killing of Robinhood.

To protest the alleged indifferent attitude of the State Govt, the JAC has decided to impose the general strike.
The strike will end at 7 pm of July 29 .
It urged all concerned to join the protest.
Essential services will be exempted from the purview of the general strike, the JAC said.
Also expressing strong concern over the reported collection of money from the public in the name of the JAC, the JAC has asked all concerned to stop such activities.
The individuals concerned should be held responsible for any outcome in case such persons are rounded up by the protesters.
Financial assistance to Robinhood's family : Auto drivers of Khonghampat, Pheidinga, Tendongyan, Maharabi and Loitang routes under the aegis of Lucky Star Auto Drivers' Union, Khonghampat donated financial assistance of Rs 7000 to the family of Robinhood.
Moirang Hanuba Youth Development Club and Moirang Hanuba Chaokhat Khongthang Nupi Lup have handed monetary assistance of Rs 5000 to the family of Sapam Robinhood today.
Representatives of the two organisations also observed a one-minute silence at the residence of Robinhood to show respect to the departed soul.
The two Moirang Hanuba bodies also extended financial help of Rs 2000 and Rs 1000 to Th Mahesh and H Rison respectively.
The two persons are undergoing treatment at RIMS after receiving injuries in the pro-ILPS movement.
The Chaokhat Khongthang Nupee Lup and Konung Leikai Nupi Kanglup, Thangapat Mapal also extended financial assitance to the family of Sapam Robinhood.
Chaokhat Khongthang Nupee Lup also extended financial aid to Thongam Maheshkanta alias Byebye of Khurai Kongpal Thongam Leikai and Haobijam Rison who are undergoing treatment in the hospital.
Financial assistance was also extended to Leishangthem Bijenti (45) of Pukhao Naharup.
