Imphal, January 19:
A team of National Commission for Religion and Linguistic Minorities would be visiting the State on January 22 to review the measures taken up for the welfare of socially and economically backward classes of religious and linguistic minorities.
A public meeting would be held in this connection on January 24.All interested public parties, academicians of both Government and non-governmental organisations have been informed to contact Th Gopal, Deputy Director-II of MOBC by January 21.The Commission was primarily constituted to work out the criteria for identification of socially and economically back-ward sections among religious and linguistic minorities.
