A public held today at Yourbung Primary School has constituted a joint action committee christened the JAC Against the Brutal Killing of Y Inao, S Dhanajit and H Manaoton of Yourbung with Laishram Shyam as convenor.
As per resolutions of the meeting, the JAC has resolved not claim the corpses of the three innocent youths until and unless the State Government book the culprits involved in the brutal killing.
In case the State Government fails to take up appropriate actions immediately, the JAC will launch strong people's movement against the Government.
All concerned groups/organisations involved in the killing should come out with rational explanations through mass media within three days, resolved the JAC.
The JAC will be submitting a memorandum to the Chief Minister in this regard, conveyed a release.
It also strongly condemned the undemocratic practice giving different faults to any person only after he/she has been murdered.
Another resolution of the JAC was to impose continuous bandh along Imphal-Ukhrul road besides taking up various forms of agitation.
The JAC also demanded that the State Government should pay Rs 5 lakhs each to the bereaved families of the murdered individuals.
It also appealed for the safe and immediate release of one Takhelmayum Nando (32) on humanitarian ground.
Nando was reportedly abducted by unidentified armed persons from Kairang Khuya on Oct 13.
